I’m honored to have the opportunity to play with Michael W. Smith on July 24 at the Draper Amphitheater. He’s one of the greatest most awarded Christian artists around. He blazed quite a few trails for the Christian music industry and I enjoy a lot of the fruit of his labor. I grew up on his music and now, thanks to Drew Howells, I have the distinct opportunity of playing the same stage as Michael W. Smith.

Yesterday was the two year anniversary of my dad’s heart attack and certain death. Those who have followed me for a while know the story because I told it in the book I wrote, An Oak Tree Late in Winter. But somehow he survived. The next big concert I did after my dad’s survival we play Cat Steven’s Father and Son. I posted it below to commemorate. I’m thankful he’s alive and I get to see him at next week’s Lubbock concert. Enjoy.
